Field visit with Bucharest Natural Park Association
This spring we went on a field trip alongside Bucharest National Park. We went in the reeds of Dobroești, a trip of no more 40 minutes from the city centre. We discussed about the advantages of having such biodiversity right at the outskirts of the city and how natural urban spaces could be integrated into the daily lives of people living in Bucharest.
This was the starting point of a research that our Master is conducting in order to identify the needs, the aspirations, but also the fears that people in Bucharest have in relation to urban natural spaces. In order for spaces like this to be used at their true value, there is the need to understand how citizens relate to them.
